Field of Specialisation: Biochemistry and Microbiology

Somtjhatjhana Japhta Mnguni is a microbiologist. He is currently working as a Laboratory Technician and Researcher at the African Centre for DNA Barcoding. He specialises in invasive, alien species of plants and is a member of the wildlife project at the University of Johannesburg . ACDB’s focus is on plant DNA barcoding, molecular systematics and plant taxonomy using phylogenetic information.
