Patience completed her BSc. degree in Botany and Environmental Management at the University of Johannesburg. Upon completing her degree she was awarded for being one of the top 5 students in Environmental Management. She is currently completing her BSc Honours degree in Geography, specialising in Environmental Management.
Patience considers herself as one of the friendliest individual around, appreciates the company of others and is multilingual. She describes working with natural environment as one of her greatest passions. The project she is currently working on is entitled “Deciphering biodiversity measures for non-specialist: Application of DNA barcoding for rapid urban biodiversity assessment”. This project was influenced by her desire to eventually introduce DNA barcoding to environmental impact assessment.
